DeFi coder and developer Andre Cronje has released a beta of a new NFT marketplace on the Fantom network.
The decentralized Fantom network welcomed its most recent addition to the ecosystem. In a September 24 blog post, the network announced the beta of its new NFT marketplace, Artion. According to the post, Artion touts open source coding, fast transaction speeds, and low associated costs and fees.
Cronje is the founder of the large DeFi Yearn Finance entity. Additionally, in 2020 DeFi Prime named him âDeFi Person of the Yearâ for his contributions to the space.
According to information from Block Research, the DeFi space is the fastest growing sector in the crypto industry. This latest announcement from the Fantom network combines the boom in NFT with the growth of DeFi.
This new Artion NFT marketplace works with ERC20 tokens based on the Fantom network. These include fUSDT, USDC, DAI, and wFTM. Regarding FTM / wFTM, the market comes with an integrated exchange station to pack / unpack these tokens.
Low costs, high efficiency
According to the blog post, the market offers low typing fees, 10 FTMs, and 0% sales commissions. In addition, the creators of NFT can organize royalties at the time of minting and even earn subsequent sales. This is because the high charges on other networks have come under scrutiny from regulators.
âOur mission, in short, is to relieve creators of the high costs and constraints that limit the potential of the imagination,â the update states.
In addition to low fees, Artion has an efficient UX design for fast loading time and responsiveness. The coding behind the market is open source.
For those who have collectibles in other NFT markets, Artion has a built-in Ethereum-Fantom NFT bridge for interoperability. Hence, Artion is the # 1 cross-chain NFT marketplace. Those in other networks discouraged by the high fees and processing times may move their collections to Fantom.
Fantom for the future
In addition to ready-to-deploy Marketplace features, Fantom has released a roadmap for future updates to Artion. The roadmap includes: the creation of ERC-721 or ERC-1155 collectibles and the support and monitoring of ERC-1155. He also mentioned future support for ERC-2981 and increased payment options for ERC-20. Finally, Artion provides for an extensive e-mail notification system.
The release of Artion is the latest big news from the Fantom network. At the end of August, Fantom made another big announcement. He unveiled a 370 million FTM incentive program for protocol teams on the network.
According to the Fantom Foundation, this program aims to better align âincentives between users, manufacturers and the networkâ. As the DeFi space continues to expand, innovative platforms will serve the growing number of developers and investors in the industry.
