LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – The strong connection between Armata’s Market in Longmeadow and its many loyal customers was again evident on Friday.
Just outside the old Longmeadow Adult Center, hundreds of shoppers have come to collect their Christmas orders. At least 500 customers waited their turn, a show of support that Armata deeply appreciated.
Armata Director Kaylen Cianfarani told 22News: “The support from the community has been tremendous, and we just can’t thank everyone enough for coming after the devastating tragedy. We cannot thank them enough, especially at this time of year.
Although a loyal customer, Brian Bouley added, “They have a great butcher’s shop, that’s where I get most of my meat all the time. When it burned down … I hope they get back on their feet, that they’ll rebuild the place.
These customers from across the region have waited as long as it takes to support their favorite grocery store. Armata is exploring options for a temporary site, before hopefully reopening next year at its Shaker Road location.
