Connect expects 4,000 attendees for Detroit Marketplace event in 2022

Connect, an industry leader in meetings, events, travel and tourism based in Norcross, Ga., Has announced that it is ready to once again welcome a pre-pandemic level of event professionals to its Summertime Marketplace signature event, August 8-10. 2022, in Detroit.

The event, which will take place at the TCF Center on Washington Boulevard, is expected to attract around 4,000 decision makers and suppliers. The conference will attract participants from four main streams: business, association, specialty and sports.

Connect says Detroit was chosen to host the event because it is home to many Fortune 500 companies, state and national associations, and is recognized as one of the nation’s premier sports cities.

The event will feature Connect’s iconic inverted style lounge for one-on-one dates, as well as its largest traditional lounge to date. Industry veterans and celebrities will provide content both on-show and off-site.

Using a thorough vetting process, only the best of the best qualify to book appointments. Connect says he’s proud of this fact and is one of the reasons he’s considered an industry leader. He then uses his matchmaking skills to ensure planners come together with the right destinations, hotels, and other venues that can host future events.

Personalities who have already spoken at Connect events include former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, as well as star athletes Simone Biles, Peyton Manning, Shaquille O’Neil and Michael Phelps, and personalities famous like Nicole Kidman and Anderson Cooper.
