Discover the University Town Farmer’s Market

Charlotte residents have until the end of November to enjoy the University Town Farmers Market at Shoppes at University Place.

UNIVERSITY, NC – Have you ever attended University town farmer’s market? Otherwise, be sure to get out there and enjoy the last few months of 2021! This farmers market takes place from May to the end of November.

The University Town Farmers Market is located along the lake at The Shoppes at University Place. It takes place on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is also live music on the lawn from 10 a.m.

Organizers are encouraging shoppers to access the market by taking the LYNX light rail, walking or biking the Barton Creek Greenway. There is also free parking at The Shoppes at University Place, located at 8929 JM Keynes Drive.

Their website boasts of being the only university town farmer’s market to offer local produce and food preparation programs to the local community – including farmers, food artisans, and artisans.

The market offers everything from cookies and a mobile espresso bar to locally grown and produced agricultural produce. There are also arts and crafts such as a children’s reading circle, hand-cast wooden wick candles, and dog treats.

The forecast for Saturday will show rain, but it won’t be a full wash. The rain will be largely scattered at first and will eventually disappear throughout the afternoon. Have an umbrella just in case!

Otherwise, expect cloudy to mostly cloudy skies and a light wind. High temperatures will peak in the mid-1970s.
