Enfuce, a Nordic payment service provider, today launched its transaction-based carbon footprint calculator, My Carbon Action, on the AWS Marketplace, a digital catalog with thousands of software listings from independent software vendors that make it easy to find, test, purchase, and deploy software that runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
“We have already seen the drastic impacts of the climate crisis, and now is the time to act,” said Monika Liikamaa, CEO and co-founder of Enfuce. “The availability of My Carbon Action on the AWS Marketplace means that it’s now even easier for banks, financial institutions and merchants to help unite their customers in the fight against climate change. “
Launched by Enfuce in 2019, My Carbon Action is a digital tool that allows banks, financial institutions and merchants to instantly calculate the carbon footprint of individual transactions made by customers. It is a turnkey solution based on a country-specific scientific data model and user feedback on individual lifestyle choices – such as food, shelter and mode of transportation. – powered by over 100 personalized tips on how to reduce your carbon footprint and live a more sustainable life. .
Now that My Carbon Action is available on the AWS Marketplace, AWS customers can easily access and integrate with existing payment applications and services, which is happening on Enfuce’s MyEdge platform. Using the My Carbon Action API, users get CO2 emissions calculations for transactions made in their payment apps and services. CO2 calculations are provided with country-specific data sets selected during the integration process.
By integrating My Carbon Action, banks, financial institutions and merchants can help customers understand the carbon footprint of their choices and easily make more sustainable choices, like riding a bike instead of driving and using more environmentally friendly products and services.
