With the onset of fall, communities and organizations in Parkland are planning a wide variety of events and activities to celebrate the change of colors and welcome the chilly and chilly mornings that the time has come to say goodbye to l ‘summer.
For the first time ever, the Farmington-Missouri Farmers Market will be hosting a harvest celebration from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 16 at VFW Post parking lot 5896, located at 814 E. Karsch Blvd. in Farmington.
“We invite everyone in the area to come to this family event,” said Teri Cox, spokesperson for the Farmington-Missouri Farmers Market. “Harvest Celebration will offer free activities for kids in the Kids Activity Tent, which will include face painting, arts and games. The VFW will be opening their BBQ Food Truck for this one day event with their full menu available which includes hot dogs, kids, pork steaks with all the fixins and drinks.
“The harvest celebration will also include live music and performing arts provided by the Mineral Zone Academy of Fine Arts, as well as living artisans and artisans working at their booths. People will also be able to meet their local farmers on this day. nice day and we hope everyone will come out and enjoy this special event for the first time. “
