Online beer sale introduced in some states during COVID-19 increases home consumption

This price increase has led to an increase in demand for lower quality beers at low prices compared to higher quality beers. However, one of the most significant positive impacts of the COVID-19 lockdown is the introduction of online beer sales in some states, such as Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Punjab. This increased the home consumption of all alcoholic beverages, including beer, thus increasing the sale.
