Southcomp Distribution Tunisie (SDT), value-added distributor (VAD) and member of the MIDIS group, has announced the launch of its new Marketplace to serve the company’s channel community in Tunisia. Offering a superior transactional experience to the channel community and a wide variety of cloud solutions and services, the marketplace will increase cloud adoption for partners and their customers.
Anis Abdessalem, Managing Director of SDT, said: “With businesses moving to remote work in light of the pandemic, there has been an increase in adoption of cloud solutions as part of digital transformation initiatives. The OPEX cloud model has been very appealing to businesses looking to alleviate budget pressures. In this context, we decided to launch a Marketplace in Tunisia in order to develop a cloud ecosystem in the country and to support customers and partners in their cloud journey. We believe this will broaden the scope of our current relationship with Microsoft, our strategic partner. ”
The Marketplace in Tunisia currently hosts the entire Microsoft portfolio, including Office 365 and Microsoft Azure. As a strategic partner of the software publisher, SDT aims to achieve a 20% market share of Microsoft activity in Tunisia in the first year. As the platform gains popularity and favor with partners and businesses nationwide, there are plans to expand the longer-term solution offerings by hosting other vendor solutions, giving partners a plus. great choice and more co-sales opportunities. Prices and invoicing will be offered to partners in local currency.
To publicize the new offer, SDT will organize a launch event in the North African country. The distributor is also planning a schedule of webinars aimed at educating partners in Tunisia about the platform and how they can get the most out of it by taking advantage of cool features – for example, setting up and managing their own. “White label showcase”, thus offering cloud solutions directly to end customers.
Elaborating on the future plans of the marketplace, Abdessalem added that: “Based on market feedback, we will introduce new platform features like extending access to our marketplace directly to end customers of our resellers. We will also host additional ISV cloud solutions and other offerings from market-leading vendors including IBM, Citrix, Barracuda, Autodesk, Vade Secure, Cibecs, and Circularo. All of these initiatives will undoubtedly create additional momentum and growth for the platform and increase the productivity and profitability of our partners. ”
